The Federal government don't have any business developing anything. Thats the job of private industry.

Corporate tax breaks are the best way to stimulate R&D.

For the government to fund R&D they have to steal profit from one. And then they skim off their cut, and then funnel what is remaining to contractors.

The tax breaks in the 1980s, created the tech boom of the 90s.

You are right that we should not be borrowing from
the Chinese.

We should not be borrowing money to provide cell
phones for welfare addicts.

We should not be borrowing money to bail out
big banks.

We should not be spending a LOT of money on things
'our government' is spending money on.

If we wasn't spending so much borrowed money trying
to make the worlds most generous welfare state . . .
we'd have plenty of money for the development of
biofuels.
