I guess the only conclusion I can come to re the Republican slate of potential nominees is that they are a weak bunch because you have to be a bit bonkers to believe in what has become Republican orthodoxy. Either that, or you have to be willing to dissemble in order to attract the voters in the Republican primary contests, and then pivot towards the centre, revealing truer beliefs in the race with Obama.
So it is the bonkers versus the dissemblers.
I think one of the bonkers will win and the race is between this person, Bloomberg (representing traditional Republicanism) and Obama.
