Hi internet,

There are some leaps into the dark here. I appreciate that the folks who want to find fault with the Spragues have a lead, but before going public, I would have thought such people might want to demonstrate that a person who can ride horses cannot also work in an office and do useful things. The fact that the CEO seems likely to have met her in one business which he owns and thought her capable of doing something different (and likely quite humble) in another business is not altogether shocking.

At the same time, this also looks to me to be a rather tasteless witch-hunt, insofar as it concerns a young person getting a break into what looks like her first corporate job. And here we have a bunch of rich and insensitive investors treating her and her resume like she's just some piece of public junk to be kicked around - the apparent justification being that these investors want to make money and so think it is okay to lack humanity.

While I appreciate that the Spragues are fair game, I find identifying and targeting this young person, who appears to have done nothing wrong, a bit disgusting myself. I wish there was such a thing as shame on message boards.
