There used to be a nice war relic, artillery piece in one of our town parks... Breech was welded to prevent mischief... Didn't stop it.. Seems a propane tank fit the bore nicely... Filled with a bit of powder, a long fuse... KaBoom! Blew out some windows across the way, set off lots of alarms... Still a mystery... How could that happen? Not long after, the barrel was also welded up, eventually it was scrapped... There are still a pair of 50 cal in another park, but out of reach, so far...
