re: "As George Will said in his most recent column, there is nothing conservative about Newt Gingrich."

I caught some of "Morning Joe" - an MSNBC program, I think, on the internet yesterday. It was an obscene Republican-bashing fest... many of the arguments were giggly, nonsensical barbs tossed into the ring just to make the nonstop character assassination more enjoyable for the participants. I don't know how anyone can stand to watch that show - though I could be on to something there since MSNBC's ratings aren't very good.

But one of the points they turned to over and over is that Newt is not Conservative. This is apparently the latest liberal talking point. Say it enough times and people will believe it. People who watch the program, that is. And I don't think there are very many.

I disagree with Newt on quite a few things. But to suggest that he's a Marxist is just ridiculous. After all, if he WERE a Marxist, MSNBC would love him, wouldn't it?

Newt *is* inconsistent. The MSNBC folks got that right. (You'll hear that on Fox News too.) But everything else MSNBC had to say was just giddy schoolgirl blather.
