AND BTW KTC, if you wish to give more of 'YOUR' money to the Federal Government, you can. There is a line right there on the IRS form that allows you to do so.
Personally, I prefer to leave charity to the church. Even most 'charity' groups give more of their money to themselves than to the people they propose to help. As for welfare, why give money to people who are lazy? It only encourages them to continue to be lazy. List one country where it has ever worked. OH but I forget, you do not have any answers.
