Weco,

I agree, a fresh batch of properly prepared liver is to die for, however most people, my wife included, considers liver to be uneatable no matter how it's prepared. And yes, fried oysters are another appreciated delicacy only this time my wife would eat them as well, just that we don't often think about or find fresh oysters this day and age.

Lima beans are something after about the second one, you could skip all the rest, even if it's just one of many vegetables found in a soup or something.

Well, in olden days, I'd fry up a batch of beef liver, after cooking up a pond of bacon, flour the liver, fry it, tossing in sliced onions, and finish it up... Pretty dang tasty! Similar back then for Oysters, but no onions... Mmmm... Wow, today we know the high calories, etc.. can't do it... Oysters, BBQ with a little butter or hot souce, fresh from the cost... Or now, Dungeness Crabs are coming in, once this wind dies down...

Lima beans.. pass... so maybe a turnip vs lima beans.. Both losers...
