Is it just me, or does this sound disingenuous? "in the best interest of... shareholders"??? When was the last time shareholders came out ahead as a result of bankruptcy??? Aren't shareholders the very first ones who get screwed? (They should be.)

I don't own any airlines, but Continental/United continues to hold my interest. It will therefore be interesting to see what UAL does today. The company is healthy. This week, it just ordered 200 new jets from Boeing and Airbus.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
