Clo - Good printer/all in one... I had an older HP that was messing up a couple years back, replaced it with the 6500 via Costco... $99 I think, but they toss in the double sided printing gadget and it's wifi as well.. I don't bother with the wifi as it's handier to use the ethernet... (Adding Prtintopia to the Mac also lets me print remotely from my laptop or iPhone from anywhere in the house.. AirPrint...)
I'd search for deals on the 920XL ink carts, originals are smaller, but the XLs last quite a while... Haven't tried generic refills, yet, but a local ink shop has had the 920XLs relatively cheap the last couple times I needed them...
Scanner/copier works fine, envelope printing is a one by one, painful for batches like Xmas cards, my old Epson I could do a stack all in one run...
Here's my buy of the day.
Paid $59.98, had three old cartridges which will give me a $6.00 refund. I added a 2 year warranty for $8.00, can be returned for any problem for a full refund.
I also had a new ink color cartridge from the old printer which I will return tomorrow, a credit near $40.00.
So final cost about $22.00, I couldn't replace the black ink in the old HP for less than $40.00.
A BONUS, a terrific sales woman, she helped in every way, even checked me out at the copy center so I didn't need to wait on a long line!
