...most cops take themselves entirely too seriously and also a lot of em are too young to be running around carrying guns and handcuffs. A lot of cops are alcoholics and they have high divorce and suicide rates. I thik that comes from taking themselves too seriously.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

re: "unless she was a big mouth man hating liberal skank with a chip on her shoulder"

*grin* And what are the chances of running into one of THOSE??

Honestly, I've had a couple encounters with cops who weren't very professional. Well, one was a campus cop-wannabe, and that hardly counts. The other, though, occurred right in my own driveway - since he set his lights on me when I was almost home. The guy was getting INCREASINGLY agitated by the fact that I didn't really care about his silly $100 ticket and it apparently showed. I was actually starting to think he might hit me or find some reason to haul me in - when my wife came outside to see why he was yelling at me. (She'd been indoors, but the patrol car's lights had caught her attention.)

He immediately changed his behavior, wrote me a ticket and left.

I had done NOTHING, btw, to warrant such treatment - except to deny knowing why he'd pulled me over (when that was pretty obviously untrue), and parking in my own driveway. (He claimed that had made him feel unsafe since he had no way of knowing whose house it was.) The real issue is that I didn't behave in a subservient manner, or act even remotely remorseful. Wow, that pi$$ed him off...

My offense, btw, was not wearing a seatbelt (though I'd put it on quickly once he lit me up), and making a 'California stop' right turn in a residential area that had no traffic.
