Different strokes for different folks. especially when most are counting on a good outcome. Most teams do not talk while its pitcher is firing a no hitter. However, some do talk it up. It is just burning up nervous energy. When I was playing football, we were expected to be quiet and not talk before the game. I could not stand the silence. I went to the coach before the season and talked to him about it. I told him I would be fully prepared, but I would not be ready until first contact. I asked to be allowed to talk and laugh it up before the game. To his credit, he did not tell me to get the f*ck out of his office. In fact, he asked the team about their preferences and we divided into the talkers and the silent group. We went 13-1 that year, losing in the state championship game due to key injuries. The pregame time for IDCC has gone on way past the Mendoza line for stoicism. I can't blame anyone for chirping now. It is my choice to listen and read or ignore the chatter. WM and the BOD have my nuts in their hands and nothing said by others makes any difference. I wish us all good luck whether they talk it out or hold their thoughts within. This does not apply to shorts and weekly option players who intentionally are holding the current share price down.
