I hope he gets on. My daughter did that about two years ago and it will always be remembered as a high point in her life.

The next round isn't really random. They know personalities and who does well on camera. But, then it is a lot of luck.

If he does get on, have him practice playing video games. (Seriously!) The boy my daughter was against was so fast that nobody could ring in against him. (Same effect as when Ken Jennings played the computer.)

My 12 year old was called up for round 2 of testing for the Jeopardy kids'week shows. 500 get this far each year, out of about 20,000 who try.

Unfortunately, kids who pass today's 2nd round testing get their names put into a 'hat' and are randomly called up to appear on TV. The other 485 will never hear how they did. There's a lot of luck involved in getting onto the show. Crying or Very sad
