Maybe the US will get what so many seem to want. A slightly more egalitarian, less money-centric, more compassionate, less brutal system. Mostly the same but a little less stark in its choices. Nicer. Happier. Fairer. With the poor a bit richer and the rich making a bit more of a contribution to the common good rather than basking in luxury while good men struggle.

A real challenge to the status quo.

Dragon's teeth rule is in play. The nastier the authorities are, the more likely that new protesters appear. So this is going to end up seeing crowds on a massive scale. Goodness knows why the police treat a large group of people who want to be heard as something to be opposed rather than channelled.

Policing of political expression should be gentle in almost all circumstances.
