I support the lesser of to evils and for me that is almost always the Republicans. I want an an exceedingly small government with the greatest level of authority granted to local government.

Reagan promoted lower taxes and less regulation. The economy was in shambles when he took office. Things were in much better shape at the end of his administration. The source of wealth is human effort and creativity. The role of government is to foster the pursuit of wealth and protect the wealth that has been created. Government creates neither wealth nor jobs.

I wish he would have reduced government spending and balanced the budget but you are right the massive military spending was likely a key factor in the collapse of the Soviet empire.

I actually don't expect Cain to get the nomination but so far unless more facts arise the last ten days appear to be character assassination to me.

I am opposed to abortion, I was once shocked by an electric fence and I really like Chinese food.

Pretty much agree with other comments except I considered Clinton(Bill) a likeable buffoon whose views went wherever the wind blew. Never liked Hillary.

That's okay, I wasn't crazy about Kerry either, but you dance with the one you came with ;))

Reagan, you know, I have Never understood the romance your party has with him.
He was a 'B' actor, affable person, he didn't impress me.
His 'Star Wars' program put us in hock.
The good news, it pushed The Soviet Union into the poor house.
I think his mental health was ebbing the last few years of his presidency.

Cain has proven time & time again he is inept in dealing with political problems, even when he had 10 days notice.
Abortion, electric fences, China, yet to have nuclear according to him, to say nothing of his mismanagement of the FOUR women.
Have you seen his ads? They are bazaar.

Looking back, Eisenhower was a better president than given credit for.
I thought Gerald Ford was healing for the country at that time.
I loathed Nixon! watched the WaterGate hearings, ironed everything to justify my tv viewing ;))
I wrote Baker & Lowell Wicker, thanking them for their service, I was 23, a political junkie ;))
And I respected the way G H Bush held office.
I also believe, the wrong son became president, Jeb is far superior to GW.

So far in my lifetime, Clinton was the best president, even with his flaws.
I resent the wasted time, energy & money on his personal sexual problems.
Imagine, how much better his presidency could have been...
You probably loathed him ;)
