Interdigital has built an all-star wireless R&D shop and without them there really is nothing left. I am guessing that the core group of engineers that are probably repsonsible for 80% of the innovation will go with the patents or to another entity as a group. These innovators will not be going to management asking for a 3% raise post Nortel but will be seen as drivers of real economic value just like sales guys are.
i just hope its good for all the parties involved...especially idc's engineers ...who are mostly responsible for the great position we are in...i would hate to have their blood on my hands
