...religion is one thing. Faith is another. Religion was devised by man. The moneychangers in the temple were the most religious people of their day. The catholic church is rife with pedophiles. The folks that cover up for them are as guilty as the ones who actually do the molesting. Every day ya can find an article about some pervert preacher somewhere doing something that would disgust all of us. Perversion, corruption and all the other frailties of man are present in religion as well as all other human activities.

I erred. I try hard to view people as individuals - and I don't believe that ALL liberals have a contempt for religion. When I read the article, I found myself wondering what percentage of Republicans have no real religion. The article doesn't delve into that.

I base my assertion that MOST liberals have a contempt for religion on observation... watching them laugh that those who take religion seriously, defend their support for practices that their own purported religion condemns, etc.

You know. What you do.
