If he wasn't a flight risk or danger before, then why does the conviction change that?

...because now he knows he's going to jail. Before he thought he was OJ and was going to walk.

I found it interesting that during his trial, he was allowed free on bond, but now that he's been convicted, the judge has deemed him both a "flight risk" and a "danger to the community" and has remanded him to jail until his sentencing hearing on November 29th.

If he wasn't a flight risk or danger before, then why does the conviction change that? He still would have been out on bond, after all.
