I don't agree. I think most of the life people are sincere. They just have a different definition of what is important. Make baby, have responsibility. That sort of thing. I know there are exceptions. But for some folks, conception is a sort of sacred thing. I get it.
For me, it's different. It isn't sacred, it's biological. Limits on abortion are a compromise. I have normal responsibility intrude when you have had a reasonable chance to get a pregnancy test and make up your mind. Otherwise, normal set of exceptions. For you it's external viability plus exceptions. For Abraham, it seemed to run a bit longer still, into teenage years - depending upon advice from the invisible chap. Seems sensible to many parents of teenagers. Religions aren't always clear when it comes to the emergence of later technologies.
IMO, 'viability' is when the fetus can live outside the mother, on it's own.
Do you know what I find insulting?
Many of these folks don't want to help poor children once they are BORN.
They fight like hell for the embryo, but after birth they are on their own.
Now, they even want to make 'birth control' illegal.
