It is odd that there is a group that is capable of being so wrong about every question as the religious right - and that is without questioning their belief in a God, which is up to them.

Being anti-evolution isn't wise.

Being pro-carbon dioxide is a good policy if you are a lizard, but not so good for mankind.

Being anti-welfare state doesn't look like a blessing to the poor.

Being pro-gun makes for a society that has more murders in it than comparable countries.

Being exclusively anti-abortion makes for a lot of unhappy rape victims.

Being pro-Fox News means you have to watch a cast of noxious characters every night.

Hi Alea, obviously truth, honesty and reality are very difficult concepts for this new Republican party to grasp as they continue to "preach" for/to the religious right and bow to the "militaty/industrial" complex. It's so obvious their primary interest lays w/ shrinking government regulation solely to panter to the rich and their greed, retaining their "honey pot." How they continue to manage to retain both these divergent bases (pro corporate/military and religious right) amazes me. I understand the former, but the latter? Just "right to life," and not avarice, prevarication, anti civil/human rights and a whole host of other "sins." I distain the thought that this religous constituency is simply brainwashed or unable to employ simple logic. Sadly Micro comes to mind. Dumb or hypocrites - or both?
