You forgot to include that until the company can throw off the NPE classification, the judges and storytellers cannot give the respect they are entitled. Just think how nice it would have been in the Nok case for the IDCC lawyer to be able to respond like the following:
Nok lawyer: IDCC is a NPE your honor.
IDCC lawyer: Now that is funny judge. Nokia hired IDCC to jointly develop W-TDD technology for a three year period. In fact, any resulting patents that resulted from the partnership were to be the property of IDCC. Nok paid IDCC 58 million dollars for their expertise in this field and to practice its inventions. The statement by Mr. X is designed to mislead you into the NPE area which Nokia and its manufacturing buddies have manufactured and painted up as evil characters seeking to stifle invention. If you have the time judge, I would like to point out that IDCC built and made equipment for a public street call in the 80's using its TDMA inventions, designed, created and placed into commerce its B-CDMA inventions in the 90's and designed and placed into commerce its slim chip for W-CDMA in the 2000's.

Judges and lawyers are not Karnac's. IDCC needs to speak up and educate rather than just send over patents and a product teardown.
