Dear Sirs,

I am a shareholder in Interdigital Communications (IDCC). It is my opinion that one of your affiliates, Deal Reporter, has released erroneous info over the course of the last several months, including unsubstantiated info today, that has been attributed to them. Their "reports" have damaged the share price on numerous occasions. It has come to my attention that several of their clients are hedge funds that may or may not be involved in the shorting of IDCC stock. If this is true, I do not have to explain to you how conflicted this would be. When a report from Deal Reporter came out in September the stock dropped from approximately $59 to $44 and it has never recovered.

There are many shareholders of IDCC, like myself, that have owed the stock for 15 to 20 years and we are extremely concerned about the actions of Deal Reporter. In times like these where the markets are easily influenced by companies like yours, you have a responsibility to "police" unacceptable activities such as those relating to the behavior I mentioned above, in my opinion.

You already are aware that this happened before, because you "allowed" a "clarification" by the Deal Reporter, last month, in the Financial Times. There is one thing for certain, in my opinion, no further damage to IDCC's share price will be tolerated because of the actions of your paper or your affiliates.

If anything like this occurs again and Interdigital is "tied to it" in any manner, I will be forced to take further action. Incidentally, your NY office was inundated with phone calls to Mo Fahimi last month by IDCC shareholders because of this behavior. This behavior, that has continued, in my opinion, will not be allowed to go on without consequences. In my opinion, there are numerous regulatory agencies in the U.S., the U.K. and in Europe that find this as unacceptable behavior and it will not be tolerated. If their involvement becomes imminent, all pertinent news organizations will also be informed. Corporations can and will be held responsible and the social environment that exists today will not look kindly on it, in my opinion.

Please understand that all the above are my opinions and that I await an acceptable response from you of how you will insure that nothing like the above ever occurs again. Your immediate attention is both requested and required.

Sincerely,

John Samuel
