Sarkozy: Deal reached for 50% Greek bond writedown

By Sarah Turner SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- French President Nicolas Sarkozy said early Thursday that a deal has been reached in which private holders will take a 50% haircut on their Greek government-bond holdings, according to reports. Sarkozy was speaking at a press conference in Brussels after a lengthy euro-zone summit.
