A little 'socialism' can be a good thing. A LOT of socialism IS a TERRIBLE thing.
A long time ago now, OSHA mandated that my employer
(actually all employers) provide me with a 'lock out
device' with a lock such that if I have to work on
a piece of machinery, I can secure it such that
no fool can turn it on with my head inside it. That
was a good thing. Today it seems like OSHA is
trying to micro-manage American companies through
'safety regulations' to the point that they are
putting them out of business.
EPA? A long time ago a few EPA anti-pollution
regulations went a long ways towards making our air
and water cleaner. Today? obama is trying to use
the EPA to 'regulate carbon emmissions' and cram the
global warming scam down out throats - destroying
jobs and our economy in the process.
Somebody said the government needs to be pared back
to about one third its size . . .
I think about 90% of the federal government needs to
disappear. With about 30% of its current functions
being taken up by the States.
