Cactus, you don't think it is even a bit presumptuous to say that since high inflation has yet to appear, those that expect it are completely wrong?
Yes, if someone called for it to be here in spades by 2011, that guy was wrong.
I personally expect major league inflation, if we don't have a deflationary depression instead. I have never said how soon we'll get it. The whole financial world is far too messed up right now to have any confidence in any kind of prediction. But I will bet (and have) big bucks that inflation will set in before WAVX makes me rich (or choose your own target date several years out...LOL). Disregard the possibility at your own peril.
There are only a very few scenarios for dealing with a double digit trillions dollar debt. Monetizing it through high inflation is a very likely one. I am not yet ready to say everyone that expects inflation is wrong.
But what do I know?
