If Vere knew, and channelled his plays through, Shakespeare, as the Oxfordians claim, isn't it an easier explanation of the coincidences of place and event between them that Shakespeare heard De Vere's stories and worked bits of them into his plays?
He never blotted out a line because the plays he received were finished works with "true-filed" lines. As a front man, he presented them as his own. Ben was being duplicitous throughout. He wished they were blotted so that people would know who the true author was.
