Good looking piece of land. I looked at all 94 photos. What town is nearby?

Hi wilful.

re: "would you bring me up to date on your house up in NH?"

My house is done. It has been for a few years, and I take three vacations or so to it every year.

I'm currently in the process of buying a much larger parcel (100 acres) about ten miles from it. It's *really* rural, and far more farmable. (It's got 18 acres cleared.)

But there are legal issues with the small amount of road frontage the property has. I've had to hire a lawyer who is seeking a variance from the town to override its usual building prohibition on properties with less than 200 feet of road frontage. (This land touches the town's road only on a narrow peninsula.) If the variance, or some equivalent form of permission, isn't obtained... this purchase will fall apart and I'll be really bummed.

Per the contract, I have until December to close.

Here's an overhead (though I now believe the circle I drew should slope more to the left instead of being straight up and down.)

And here's a slideshow of the last time I was up there: http://gallery.outel.org/slideshow.php?set_albumName=NH-Large-Property-Aug2011
