xcslewis,
It's more complicated.
'Religion' angers me, because it's often abused & used as an excuse to kill & control others.
I was taught by the Sisters of Charity, sort of ironic, their name, "Charity". Most were frustrated angry & mean.
Yet, at one time I considered becoming a nun. Maybe the 'habit' was appealing, I was 12. heehee
I enjoyed the mass in Latin & the rituals, the signs of the cross & the rosary.
For about thirty years I've practiced a spiritual life, attempting to be the best I can, daily & asking that those I'm in contact with, be their best too.
I am easier on others & myself, usually able to weigh the important issues in life. I take the good & leave the rest.
Life is much more gray, yet the colors are more vivid.
Does this help your understanding of my position?

DO SOMETHING!
