The Occupy Wall Street protests have inspired songs (if not an anthem) and marriage proposals, demonstrations across the globe, and a daily outpouring of reactions and interpretations that this new feature on City Room aims to collect and curate.

#OccupyWallSt Roundup

Protesters on Tuesday demonstrated at the Manhattan district attorney’s office, outside an awards ceremony where the governor was being honored (the feminist author Naomi Wolf was arrested outside), and at Sotheby’s, where union workers have been protesting for several months.

Last week, protesters visited Gramercy Tavern and Union Square Cafe, two elite restaurants run by Danny Meyer, who became a member of the Sotheby’s board this year. [Crain's New York Business]

Though with free organic meals now being catered by a former hotel chef, who needs to storm Union Square to get fancy food? [New York Post]

Ahmed Maher, a leader of the Facebook Revolution in Egypt, says he is now advising Occupy Wall Street. [Wired]

The Granny Peace Brigade, an organization founded several years ago to protest the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, demonstrated at Lincoln Center, joined by some Occupy Wall Street protesters. [WQXR]

MTV is said to have put out a casting call to Occupy Wall Street, seeking candidates for the reality show “The Real World.” [The Observer]

That casting call may have been an homage to the Tumblr blog Hot Chicks of Occupy Wall Street, which offended some and, uh, inspired others. [The 6th Floor blog]

The conservative blogger Jennifer Rubin called the protests anti-Semitic. [Washington Post]

A blogger for New York magazine remained unconvinced.

In case Goldman Sachs wasn’t having a bad enough day, Gawker gave out Lloyd C. Blankfein’s cellphone number.

Speaking of phone numbers, down at Zuccotti Park, the organizers have set up an e-mail address (OWSCommunityAffairs@gmail.com) and a hot line (917-524-7311) to field complaints and concerns from neighbors.

And looking ahead to Thursday: Wal-Mart workers are coming to Zuccotti Park to talk to the protesters about their campaign to win higher wages and improved working conditions.
