It appears they have or are fixing their mistake.

IBM entered into a consent order with the EPA in May 2001 to complete the cleanup of the Jack Manne Inc. site. The company also agreed to develop alternatives to provide residents with a permanent water supply. In November 2003, IBM presented the EPA with several options, and the agency selected the connection to Fishkill´s water supply.
