clo,
re: "You constantly allude to laziness as the reason many haven't done well."
It is *A* reason. Not *THE* reason.
There are a lot of lazy people.
There are also a lot of hard working people who lack lack talent or skill and, consequently, are poorly paid. (The hardest work I ever did was in my first few jobs - when I was being paid minimum wage and even less. Try delivering flyers door-to-door at 2 cents per house sometime.) There are people who get sick. People who lack motivation to do more than they have to. People who've been beaten down by government and its incessant taxes. For many, the harder they work, the less reward they get. People who've been taught by unions that you don't have to work hard. Drug addicts. Handicapped. Folks who spend everything they've got when times are good and are then poor when times are lean.
There are many, many, many reasons, so I hope you won't again suggest that I'm claiming laziness as THE reason people don't do well. That would be incredibly stupid of me, and though I have a lot of faults, 'dumb' isn't among them.
But there are a tremendous number of people who lack the drive to do more than they have to. I know many of them. If that's the reason they live in poverty, then I'd say they're lazy and do indeed deserve poverty. But, you know, they have every RIGHT to be lazy and live that way. I'm just not inclined to give them my sympathy.
Now... you either disagree with me on that, or disagree with me about how many of the poor are poor due to laziness. Tell me which it is, and I can continue the discussion without further mischaracterization.
re: "You seen to believe they/we are angry with the 'rich'.
Yes - though I think "jealous" and "envious" are better words.
re: "IMO, they/we are angry with the ones that made their wealth because of fraud "
That's a message your side hasn't done a good job of disseminating.
re: "& on the backs of the loyal EMPLOYEES"
What's wrong with becoming wealthy on the "backs" of loyal employees? They aren't slaves, clo. The employer is doing a service for for them just as they are doing one for him.
Do you understad the enormous risk an employer takes when he starts a business? In many cases, he's gambling his life's savings. For that, and for the good he's doing his community, he deserves a huge payoff.
And in our society, any employee of his is free to leave and do the same thing.
re: "who thought as long as they worked hard they would get a piece of the pie"
Why on earth would an employee think that? Employees get what is in their employment contract and in future negotiations. Sometimes, that means stock. Other times, it's just cash.
You're arguing for mandatory charity by businessmen, I take it?
