Maybe he thought you'd be reading it, 'ignore' just a threat?

Even so, as I read the post I really didn't see it as an attack on you.
Maybe you both had some previous recent back & forth, and you took this post more personally because of history?

I didn't always agree with him, but always enjoyed the thought process he shared.

As an aside, did you watch the debate? If so, what was your take?
I watched it, it was like mud wrestling ;))
Still think Perry is toast & Romney was the winner.

Maniati wrote that post knowing that I'd put him on ignore two weeks before.

So, no danger of a response since he knew I wouldn't even see it. Quite a guy.

As I wrote to Lkorrow on 3-8-2006 when she suggested I should "mentally" ignore maniati instead of doing an actual ignore:

'Peace in the family!" is precisely why I have maniati on ignore. I don't believe anyone here would have appreciated my other alternatives - least of all, me. I like maniati, and I like this board. I don't care to trash either one. But at times, maniati acts like a second grader. When he directs that part of his personality at me, I don't care to waste my time with it. But, as more than a month of "mental ignore" showed, I can't make him stop, and he DOESN'T stop.' 

Indeed, he didn't stop as, two weeks later, he was still flailing about, throwing unconnected insults at someone he knew wouldn't respond to what OTHERWISE might have been good posts.
