Hi csl,

Hey, I like being on that list!

What do you mean when you say I am a Keynesian?

I call my economics jellyfish economics. When I am king I'll grow government when the private sector is shrinking and shrink government when it is growing. I'll use any kind of tool that is out there depending on the conditions - if demand is lacking, I'll stimulate, but if inflation is present, I'll raise rates. When the politics is to the left, I'll argue from the right and when the politics is to the right, I'll argue from the left.

I don't believe in fixed principles of economics. I believe in competing influences within an economy. Any tool can be a useful. It depends on conditions. It doesn't much matter to me whose name is on the handle.

Back to the list. Here's my amended version with proper assignment of virtues:

Einstein: e=mc squared
Jordan: air
Alea: jellyfish brain

Einstein flunked algebra.

Michael Jordon was cut from the high school basketball team.

Alea a Keynesian.

Sometimes all I can do is scratch my empty head.
