...I don't go into bars and I don't use pepper spray. Pepper spray was a tool provided to cops as a substitute for bashing in skulls. So is the Tazer which I don't care for either.
...my experience with pepper spray from years ago when I was a cop, is that ya have to make sure ya aren't downwind from the person you are spraying or ya will get a dose yourself. Also ya don't want to use it in an enclosed space like inside a house or car for the same reason.
...now that I am not a cop, I have a can of that foaming wasp spray in the car and another in the house. It don't really spray, it comes out in a stream about 20ft range and sticks to whatever it hits and anyone who gets it in their eyesockets will experience a lot of discomfort. Id rather use that than to shoot a carjacker or intruder. Hope I never need it.
...back to the cop using pepper spray on those folks. Ya would really have to know what went on prior to the spraying to make an informed decision about what happened.
