American Jobs Act wildly popular with public

...elvis was wildly popular. The beatles were wildly popular. Sex is wildly popular. This jobs bill is not wildly popular.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

What can we say about the American public? How about, 'there's one born every second'?

People sure are dense. On another board, we had a guy who was talking up this jobs act when it didn't even exist yet! Can you believe that??

Uh, wait. Obummer did the same thing!!

Not much thought went into the jobs bill. It was thrown together in a hurry, and the result was about what you would expect: Another piece of overpriced, useless legislation by the worst American President in modern history.

Obama's Stimulus Plan Will Cost $250,000 Per Job

Uploaded Image

I'd say $250k per job is a bargain compared with Obama's last stimulus:

The report was written by the White House’s Council of Economic Advisors, a group of three economists who were all handpicked by Obama, and it chronicles the alleged success of the “stimulus” in adding or saving jobs. The council reports that, using “mainstream estimates of economic multipliers for the effects of fiscal stimulus” (which it describes as a “natural way to estimate the effects of” the legislation), the “stimulus” has added or saved just under 2.4 million jobs — whether private or public — at a cost (to date) of $666 billion. That’s a cost to taxpayers of $278,000 per job.
