I suspect that the WSJ has had this obit in 'escrow' for some time considering the length and amount of detail that they were able to get out in such a short period of time. Yes, I know that most media outlets have pre-written obits on file for most notables just in case, but this one seems particularly long and detailed and besides, it has the feeling of having been updated many times over the years:
