Makes perfect sense - this continues to be business as usual which is required from IDCC. If we were to stop normal activities, including litigation, you are waving the white flag to an acquirer that IDCC's only option is a buy out.
I want to sell my shares for large $$$ as bad as anyone but if the money is not right, going back to work on the infringers is how we will make money in the future. For every turncoat gloom and doom crybaby short at I-Hub (this means you Nicmar), no deal means that our licensing department needs to get back to work...or hand this off to our new owner when the price is right.
