Who Should Reimburse Taxpayers for the Solyndra Loan?

Campaign Spot reader Bill notes that Obama’s campaign is aiming to raise $1 billion, while the Solyndra loans are likely to cost U.S. taxpayers $535 million.

So if Obama would just transfer 53 percent or so of his campaign war chest to the U.S. Treasury, we could call it even.

After all, isn’t it time that the super-rich — i.e., Obama donors like the top executives and investors in Solyndra — who benefited from crony capitalism pay their “fair share”?
