If the first bid is as we hear, I would not worry about the share price. This is now an attempt to manipulate a private aution from outside the building. For years, we have agonized that the price is decoupled from idcc's true value. Be glad this is still true.
The qcom standard is near its end. Am I the only one that remembers that qcom was enabled by he Clinton administration? Creating a closed standard that effectively monopolized licensing rates, hardening companies like Nokia from licensing idcc. Not free market folks. They are now jealous. But there is nothing they can do about it.
