Clo,
Right off the top, I find this 'poll' highly
suspicious.

1.) The Presidents 'budget' was shot down, what,
97 to nothing? Does anybody with half a brain
really think obama is a good thing?

2.) I've already explained the stupidity within
'obamacare' and the several other ways obama is
destroying jobs.

3.) Solyndra . . . more of OUR Moneys being poured
into the same sorts of ratholes?

4.) You note that the congress is NOT passing his
so-called 'jobs bill' . . . ?

And then a quick look finds this about the 'Pew
Research center' . .

http://www.examiner.com/science-news-in-birmingham/pew-science-and-the-public-report-pu-the-bias-is-potent

In the 2008 and 2010 election cycles, employees of the Pew Research Center contributed a total of $4850 to Democratic candidates. Presidential Candidate Barack Obama received $4600 from a person who is or claimed to be an Editor at Pew Research Center. No Republicans received any campaign contributions in those two cycles.

And

During the same two election cycles, members of the Pew Charitable Trusts contributed $19,055 to Democratic candidates. Barack Obama received the lions share of these contributions at $11,755. Again, no Republican candidates received contributions from any member of the Pew Charitable Trusts.

Given the knowledge that your partisans will happily
put words in the mouths of dead people . . I find
it immenintly believable that Pew would fabricate
a 'research bulletin' touting the impossible.

Obama Draws More Confidence than GOP Leaders on Deficit

Most Support Raising Taxes on High Incomes to Reduce Deficit

September 26, 2011

The public's confidence in congressional leaders, particularly Republican leaders in Congress, has plummeted as the nation prepares for another round of deficit reduction debates. Just 35% say they have a great deal or fair amount of confidence in Republican leaders in Congress to do the right thing when it comes to dealing with the federal budget deficit, down from 47% in May.

Fully 62% say they have little or no confidence in the Republican leaders on this issue.

Public confidence in Barack Obama on the budget deficit, by comparison, has remained largely unchanged. The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted Sept. 22-25 among 1,000 adults finds that 52% express at least a fair amount of confidence in Obama to do the right thing when it comes to dealing with the deficit, virtually unchanged from 55% earlier in the year.

Public trust in Democratic congressional leaders has also suffered - 43% say they have a great deal or fair amount of confidence in Democratic leaders, down from 51% four months ago.

The survey also finds continued public support for raising the tax rate on high incomes as a way to reduce the federal budget deficit and the size of the national debt.

The survey also finds continued public support for raising the tax rate on high incomes as a way to reduce the federal budget deficit and the size of the national debt.

Two-thirds (67%) approve of raising the tax rate on incomes over $250,000 as a means of reducing the national debt. This is virtually unchanged from May (66% approve). Just 30% disapprove of raising tax rates for incomes above $250,000.

Democrats overwhelming support raising the tax rate on income over $250,000; 82% of Democrats approve of this proposal and 67% of independents agree. As was the case in May, Republicans are divided: 47% approve and 51% disapprove of higher tax rates on income in excess of $250,000.

Read the full report to see comparisons of opinion among Republicans, Democrats and independents, as well as the views of Americans on specific proposals for reducing the nation's debt.
