...the m1 carbine is a modern made replica of the original. I have disassembled and cleaned both weapons and can't see any difference. The "classic" magazines fit and work well.

...in nam I had a m-14. As you know the Marines are the last ones to get the new weapons. Not only the army, but the s viets had m-16s before we did. I still had an m-14 when I got out in 1967.

how long have you had the M1? That's an interesting weapon.

Did you ever have opportunity to fore an M16 per chance?

A good 9mm glock or a Beretta, 15 rd. clip, semi-auto with hollow point large grain for slowness and greater bullet fracturing inside the body does quite well also and is easy to handle, no kick, and deadly.

I prefer these over the shotgun inside the house but outside with a mob a street sweeper is one option.
A good one too.

Anyway, I was interested in the story on your M1 Carbine. WW 1 vintage?
