Good morning Cactus Flower,

Chris Christie has some appealing qualities.

He has defended & appointed a Muslim judge, a man he's known for 9 years. While doing so he labeled those fearing 'sharia law' in this country as "nuts & crazy". (they are in his party)

While he disagrees with Obama on policy, he has NEVER questioned his birthplace or legitimacy.
He wins big points with me on this.
After Irene, Obama & Christie toured the damage, together!
Unlike many, Christie is comfortable being with Obama, after all its to help his state.

He doesn't filter himself, speaks what's on his mind. This has blowback at times, but its refreshing.

I have issues with him on 'unions' & 'teachers'. He tried to close too many schools in poor areas & took funding from public schools. This was challenged in court & Christie lost.

He's a northern Republican, he has to work with Democrats to get things done.
Being a northern Republican helps Romney too.

If We the People hope to have 'government' work, We deserve a president that is capable & willing to work with the other side.

I believe Christie would be better at having republicans in congress work towards compromise.
Romney doesn't have the respect that Christie would, Romney has waffled too much.

would have been a very decent candidate. Coherent speech. Nice to discover the kind of Republican I can at least listen to still exists. Don't agree with him but he seems to be honest in his beliefs and in some conditions they would probably apply. I have a tremendous respect for American individualism as a key element of the American character - except when it is cleansed of its composite nature.
