And after being given a 'mandate' by the people to solve the problems which face us, the Republican controlled Congress opened the session by reading the Constitution, only it turns out that they left some stuff out but included other material which was actually from the Declaration of Independence.
Then they took-up the critical issues facing America, such as:
English as the official language
De-funding Planned Parenthood
Preventing the EPA from doing its job
De-funding PBS
De-funding climate change research
Extend the Patriot Act
Redefining the definition of rape
Slashing Pell Grants
Striping funds from Head Start
Investigating American citizens who just happen to be Muslims
Reducing funds for the Veterans Administration
Voting to fund contraceptives for wild horses, but proposing to make similar payments for human contraceptives illegal
Disallowing the last American WWI veteran to lie in state in the Capital rotunda
Throwing roadblocks in the way of implementing the repeal of DADT
And on and on it has gone, and yet we wonder why Congress it getting such low scores from the American people.
