...all of this "we must give them more tax cuts!!" stuff strikes me as bad parenting.
It's like a kid who sees a toy in a store in a store, and starts screaming for it. Mom says "If you stop screaming, I'll get you this toy!" The kid keeps screaming, and Mom, all frazzled, says "Easy, easy, here's the toy. OK?" And the kid keeps screaming, so Mom say "All right, all right, here's ANOTHER toy - please stop screaming now!" And the kid keeps screaming, and Mom says "Here's another! See? I gave it to you! Please stop screaming!"
And the kid keeps screaming, and Mom looks around and says "Why is my kid so spoiled?"
Big corporations have been screaming for 30 years, and we've been giving them omre and more tax cuts in hopes that they might actually put some of that money back in to the US economy. It hasn't happened yet; why do we think that THIS TIME it will?
