They countered and *I* accepted.
In their counteroffer, they more than split the difference - so I was very happy. With my legal fees, I'll probably still be getting the land for less than I had first planned to offer.
But that's as it should be. I've already paid the attorney a few thousand dollars, so the purchase is not without risk to me.
