Aw, thank you for making me feel better about the downturn!
My only source of stress is over my upcoming land purchase. My lawyer had me add verbiage to the contract giving me until December 1st to close the deal, but it really should be closed soon after the town grants me the necessary variance. That could happen at almost any time.
I'd hate selling stocks to pay for land if my stocks are down like they are today. This is, after all, probably a NORMAL downturn in gold to the 150 day moving average. A similar test of gold's support happens nearly every year.
And on the brighter side, I may have a couple of months yet before the deal closes, in which case I expect mining stocks to somewhat recover.
Then there's also the fact that I expect my land to be an excellent investment. If it proves to be viable as farmland, I think it will do as well or better than gold. So I shouldn't stress over this as much as I am.
Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
