No wonder. There's so much misinformation about this thing that it's whipped people into a frenzy.

It won't be passing over North America on the day it falls. And the chances of ANYONE getting struck is about 1 in 3200. Yet I saw at least one headline saying "The chances that YOU will get struck are one in 3200!"

Hey, that's way different! If that were true, it means that in every group of 3200 people, someone is going to be hit. In a population of 6 billion, that means about 200,000 victims. Nooooo! I don't think so!

The satellite also contains no dangerous substances. So it is, in fact, almost without risk... and even less than that for Americans.
