Insidious how the Republicans operate.
They have entirely invented the meme about excessive regulations. They have been gradually promoting it. They expect to have dumb people believe it and start repeating it. The message emanates from and is presumably paid for by Wall Street, which needs to be regulated more, not less (witness latest trader scandal). By the time the election comes, the electorate will presumably have had their memories of what caused this crisis entirely scrubbed.
It is actually quite scary to watch a propagandist politics at work.
