Multiple Casualties After Plane Crashes In Reno

RENO, Nev. (CBS13) –- Dozens of people have been rushed to the hospital and a number of deaths have been reported after a plane crashed near a crowd at the Reno Air Races on Friday afternoon.
The accident at the National Championship Air Races and Air Show at Reno-Stead Airport took place just before 4:30 p.m., according to KTVN-TV in Reno. Eyewitness Mike Kremper said one of the planes, the P-51 aircraft named the “Galloping Ghost,” went straight up in the air and then straight down into the ground after rounding a pylon on the home stretch of the race.
