When our granddaughter was in the hospital this was the same exact procedure (security guards, scanning of your drivers license, photos taken for visitor passes, etc.) whenever we went to visit. Granted, once we were in the system all we had to show was our DL when we checked in again and they would print a new DATED visitor pass for us, but we still had to get past the armed security guards.
The HS called, my granddaughter was ill & I picked her up.
You would not believe the security, they have a person at the gate to question where you are going. Once inside the school you are greeted by a woman with equipment, she needed to make a photocopy of my drivers license, then she took my photo & placed it on a visitors pass.
You might think we lived in the city, its the burbs for gods sake! clo
