The best article I ever found on this topic was by one of the managers at . . . I think it was Cosmopolitan. It's been deleted from AB, unfortunately, as part of the great purge.

She did a great job of describing the many ways in which women today are overpaid compared to men, and the extreme political pressure to NOT report that. She stated bluntly that, had she been a man, her editorial could never have been written.

I'm sure clo remembers the article. We discussed it, and I don't believe she was able to find fault with the points it made

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Unfortunately there are some people out there who will take this article to heart and perhaps even reference it to support their position (perhaps even a GOP presidential wannabe or two) all without recognizing that it's a parody.

Over the years I've come to the conclusion that 'The Onion' is much better, than say someone like Andy Borowitz, at creating stuff that people on the 'fringe' will actually latch onto thinking that it's reporting a factual event or situation.
